Import regulations

• All bottles/cans/pkgs containing foodstuffs must show both production and expiry dates.
• Health certificate from health regulatory authority / Local municipality in the respective country
• Halal certificate is required if meat is active ingredient of the product are strictly prohibited.
• Certificate from Ministry of Agriculture for agricultural products and flowers confirming quarantine test & phyto sanitary regulations is required.
• Print materials such as books, magazines, periodicals, video and audio cassettes and discs will be released only after customs inspection and censoring which involves additional expense as per tariff.
• Packing List must be in detail indicating identification mark of each product, the number of packages, weight and measurement of individual case. It is suggested that a copy of the packing list be kept in each box. All information supplied on the shipping documents must correspond to the AWB or Bill of Lading.
• Certificate of Origin Details on the Certificate of Origin by the Chamber of Commerce must correspond with those shown on the AWB or Bill of Lading. In the case of no Certificate of Origin being presented, a customs fine of US$ 200 per invoice will be levied.
• Strictly Prohibited Import of alcohol, books against Islamic traditions, obscene pictures and photography, firearm, ammunition and animal skins
• Prior Permissions for commercial purpose.
• Required from the Ministry of Agriculture to import flowers, seedling and other agricultural products.
• Required from Ministry of Health / Municipalities to import Drugs and food products
• Case Marking All markings must be in English and should be displayed on at least 3 sides of each package:

  Dimensions Length X Width X Height
  Package 1 of n, 2 of n, etc (n = total number of packages)
